Our Mission: The heart of Christ’s Home
is to serve the Lord by providing services to senior adults and
disadvantaged children in an atmosphere graced with love, dignity,
compassion, and respect.
Established in 1903 by our founders, Dr. Albert Oetinger and Katharina
Krausslach, Christ’s Home was founded as a faith based non-denominational
organization caring
for children. In 1923 the focus was expanded to include the
senior population and Christ’s Home Retirement Community was
founded. Since inception, the Retirement Community has been providing
affordable, quality living for residents with a variety of needs.
The mission of Christ’s
Home Retirement Community is to provide a caring home for aging
adults, built on Biblical principles that will meet their social,
spiritual, emotional, and health needs in an atmosphere graced with
love, dignity, compassion, and respect.
Christ's Home Retirement Community offers independent living in attached cottages as well as on-site
nursing care. While the emphasis will be on
active independent living, cottage residents will have priority
access to other levels of care, as they may need it. You’ll
have the freedom and privacy of your own cottage home plus the security
of knowing care is available when you need it.
ADMISSIONS: The Christ’s Home Retirement Community agrees to comply with the provisions of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and all requirements imposed pursuant thereto to the end that no persons shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, religious creed, or disability, be excluded from participation in, being denied benefits of, or otherwise be subject to discrimination in the provision of care or service with regards to the admission, treatment and transfer of residents and patients.
EMPLOYMENT: The Christ’s Home Retirement Community is an equal opportunity employer and recruits, advertises, promotes and discharges without regard to race, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, religious creed, or disability. Our facility designates a coordinator to enforce these policies.
