No. Since being established in 1903, Christ's Home has been independently owned and operated. Christ's Home, Inc., is classified as a not-for-profit religious/charitable 501 C3 organization. A Board of Trustees is elected to oversee the administration of the organization.
2) What religious denomination is Christ's Home Retirement Community?
Christ's Home was established as a Christian community based on Biblical principles. Although Christ's Home does not have any specific affiliation with a religious denomination, our heritage is rich with living out Christ's teachings to those we serve. All admissions to our community are done with Christian love without discrimination. Christ's Home Retirement Community does not discriminate with regard to race, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin or sex.
3) What are the benefits of a continuing care community?
The term continuing care refers to senior retirement communities that offer the full continuum of care. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, Christ's Home offers the full continuum of care that includes Independent Living Garden Apartments, Assisted Living, and our Healthcare facility. As level of care needs increase, residents in our community have priority access to our Assisted Living and Healthcare facilities. Along with priority access, individuals have the ability to access services and amenities offered within our community including on-site banking, beautician/barber services, and meals in the main dining room.
4) What happens if I spend down all my assets once I enter Christ's Home?
Since 1923, Christ's Home Retirement Community has been providing quality, affordable living to those we serve. According to our mission, it is our moral obligation to continue to care for any resident who through the course of paying for services, while residing at Christ's Home, spends down their financial assets. If this should occur, there are government programs that can be implemented once an individual meets the necessary financial requirements. This practice applies to resident's who have not misrepresented their finances to gain entrance into Christ's Home or who after entering Christ's Home makes financial decisions that would require Christ's Home to carry an unnecessary burden.
5) How do I become a resident of Christ's Home Retirement Community?
The first step is to contact an admission counselor who will send you an informational brochure of the community. Inside the brochure, you can complete a priority application for immediate consideration. Yes. Christ's Home offers a variety of fee schedules to choose from when entering the community. The fee schedules are designed to give you control and flexibility in managing your personal finances.
